I have been pondering around the subject of kindness for weeks now, a good friend of mine has a business based on the concept, and as business thinking goes my mind often wanders into the costs of doing business, especially the hidden ones. Many people believe that kindness costs nothing. But I disagree, kindness has a price, and things with a price are part of economies.

I had the most saddening, almost defeating moment in mid January 2020. Driving my usual route to catch the usual train, I stopped at the usual traffic light, and that was the last thing that was usual about this day.
Routines and Rituals, we all have them but have you ever asked why?
I often wondered if I’m the only person who has a strange series of routines and rituals as part of my day-to-day. I know I’m not, but it did make me question why I have them and surprisingly enough there seems to be a reason…also no goats are involved in the rituals, this is a good thing.

For most of us the inevitable is that you will change jobs and this means leaving your old tribe and joining a new one. Joining new tribes can be daunting, but luckily there are some tips to surviving the courting ritual, and hopefully, seeing you joining your new tribe with limited scars and perhaps a symbolic branding of some sort.

We’ve all been on a journey, some people are enjoying the trip and other can’t wait to get there, and now would be better than later. Ever been in that situation where you can’t understand why some people can’t focus on what is happening right now or perhaps you are on the other side where you cant understand why people pay so much attention to what’s happening now and just don’t seem to understand that the future is where it’s at.

Being in a team is hard, being made responsible for getting that team to be at their best is a completely different kettle of cats, but fear not I have some ‘hard learnt lessons’ that might just make it a little easier, and hopefully a little ‘cheaper’ too.
